Please read the first New Moon Message for February of 2026, as it’s foundational for the journey we angels are inviting you to go on.
Our scribe likes to quote the 20th century French mystic Rene Daumal, who wrote, “A knife is neither good nor bad, but if you grab it by the blade you are making a mistake.”
We angels see many things you human beings have invented as being like knives. Last month we invited you to deepen your connection to Sacred Silence, by not listening to music or podcasts when you’re outside, but by becoming more and more present with the world around you, to deepen your work to heal the planet. Even at home, we invite you to never play music in the background, but only when you sit down to listen to it or dance to it. To do otherwise is to grab it by the blade. But you can sing all you like, on your own. Each song another prayer.
This month we invite you to take on another spiritual practice. Although it can do amazing things, we angels look at electricity and electric lights as something you’ve grabbed far too often by the blade – and we invite you to reconnect with Divine Darkness, particularly in the nights around the new moon. You evolved with darkness as a friend, and learning to use fire only added a bit of light to your nights. Please keep your lights dim. Turn them off when you leave a room. Try to never use devices after it gets dark, particularly in the dark nights around the new moon. Step back into your ancestral connection to Divine Darkness. And know that in doing so you’re helping to heal the world, not just by cutting down your use of energy, but by wrapping yourself in what we all come from – the holiness of night!

Divine Blessing, Divine Favor
My friend, Mr. Jones, recently celebrated his 92nd birthday. He phoned me to catch-up and during our chat, Mr. Jones explained, “We are blessed with 70 years, but the rest is favor.” Blessing and favor are important to my friend. If asked “How are you?” he responds, “I’m blessed and highly favored!”
I was struck by my friend’s view of blessing and favor. As if favor was the “cherry on top” of a blessed dessert. Mr. Jones then told me a story of one of his encounters with Divine Favor.
Becoming a U.S. Marine was his childhood dream. During the U.S. war in Korea, Mr. Jones was trained for the M4 Sherman tank. This tank was known as the “coffin tank” because if a bomb hit, soldiers were trapped inside.
To his surprise, Private Jones wasn’t sent overseas but to serve in a military brig in Ohio. That’s where his active duty ended. When asked to re-enlist, the then Sergeant Jones declined the honor and didn’t further test his God’s favor.
Originally, I thought of blessing and favor as the same. During a web search, I discovered that favor can be the position you occupy to get the blessing. Attain the favorable position, get the blessing.
Is divine favor within our control, or will it be a surprise as with Mr. Jones? Sometimes favor and blessing are simple: you want to catch fish, you go fishing. Other times we imagine the end result, the blessing, and we hope our path is favored.

Divine Timing
In the past, I often allowed a canceled appointment to ruin my day.
Not anymore.
These days, when plans fall through or something doesn’t work out the way I had hoped, there’s a quiet sense that it’s supposed to be this way. A deep, powerful, resonating trust.
It’s easy to understand divine timing intellectually. We read about it all the time in self-help books and online. But being able to integrate and practice it in everyday life is something else entirely.
A canceled lunch, a missed opportunity, even a breakup. I now believe that what we experience is only the surface. These events can be slightly annoying or frustrating at best and maddening or devastating at worst. Behind the scenes, Source and angels are very, very busy working on our behalf, rearranging, making space, clearing the path, making room for something so good, we don’t even have language for it yet.
I don’t dread canceled plans anymore. Or someone leaving my life. I give myself time to feel it, and then I meet these perceived “inconveniences” with confident calmness because I know something better is coming!
A new moon is the perfect moment to practice releasing what hasn’t gone our way, not with disappointment, but with curiosity and a little excitement, if you can muster it.
This new moon, I invite you to contemplate:
What do you think your angels are making space for?
What are you ready to release?
